Default PHP or ASP

do you like PHP or asp.net better?
Does anyone here know BOTH of those languages?

I dont know much of either. I outsource programming work as it just wastes my time.

Most of my work is done in PHP.

Who do you outsource to Homer?
Do you think its a good idea to learn basics in case something goes wrong?
Or else could get costly asking and paying ppl to fix it all the time.

PHP hands down. Its a simple language to learn. To learn ASP.Net you need to learn full on hardcore programming.
PHP is more of a relaxed language.

I know ASP / ASP.NET. Everyone thinks it's 'complex'
What's wrong with the syntax? It's still 'english'..
I'm starting to learn PHP... Pretty nice powerful language :P

Although I have learned a bit of ASP.Net back in college, and not much PHP, I do think that they complement each other instead of really going on a head-first war.

In my experience though, ASP.Net tends to be a little harder than PHP.

I used a lot of ASP with my last job and really liked it. Ofcourse, I took visual basic in college so ASP to me is very similar to it. I know a little PHP and like it as well. I don't prefer one over the other.
