Has anyone registered their own name as a domain name?
Ie your first and last name?

I havent but am thinking about it..

No i havent, My name is pretty unique so i know it wont get registered by someone else

if i had a common name like John Smith i would register it

Heh, same here. I don't think too many people have my name.

I have not done it yet. I plan on it, but my name is fairly common so it might be gone. Perhaps I can get it in a different TLD. I do have a pseudonym I use quite a bit that I did manage to get in several TLDs.

What is in a NAME?

nope not me. i dont want people knowing my name so i would never build a website around it anyway.

I would register my name. My name is unique too and I think if the right buyer comes along I could make a lot of money.

I wouldn't register my name because there are times when I don't want people to find me or know my name. I did a search and it doesnt matter how unique your name is (because mine isnt common), but my first name is already taken.

If I didnt care who contacted me or found me, I would definitely register my own name. I think its pretty fun to toy around with a site named after you.

A huge number of people do it. But I won't want to have a domain of my own name.

I thought about it just to put my resume/portfolio on it. Then I just think about putting the information on a subdomain of my other domains.

There is no need of such things yet .i would like to have a domain name other than my own name .some attractable such as abeautifulmind.com (but may it gone already as there is a movie with the same name ).
