Default Adding content too fast

Is it bad to add content fast to a site?
Currently i had 10 articles/pages per day to my site, is this too much?

10 articles is probably fine. I don't think adding multiples pages a day hurts your website ranking or anything else.

I don't think it ever hurts to put too much out there, I just think you end up with diminishing returns.

If you put 10 up there a day, but you are only getting the benefit of the first 5, you are not hurting yourself, you are just doing too much work.

What do you mean only getting the benefit of the first five? Why wouldn't all 10 be of benefit if the content is good?

Many reputable websites post dozens of articles per day. As long as it is new content (not just copied from another site, even one of your own) it will not hurt your ranking - in fact, when you are spidered again it will help you get more search engine hits.

If the "extra" articles had a good keyword density, wouldn't they also support the site?

I would say the more pages you have that are indexed the better. Just make sure each page is optimized properly and not just thrown on.
