Default Godaddy hosting?

Is godaddy hosting good or bad?
I have read mixed reviews.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone here has used godaddy hosting before.
Thanks

I looked them up, it was cheap but i think the catch on the cheap plans is that you cant have external DB connections. So you cant really use things like phpbb and wordpress, which is pretty useless IMO.
Good for beginners though I guess.

Ok that could be a problem.

What control panel do they use, Cpanel or something else?

No godaddy dont use cpanel,
They have their own simple control panel. Its not the greatest thing out.

godaddy is so cheap. they have hosting at $3 a month. I dont care about databases, so thats such a great deal for a small website with a big company hostingn it.

I wouldn't recommend GoDaddy. GoDaddy can be expensive, compared to some other sites. Check out http://www.ixwebhosting.com/

I'd say let godaddy just keep doing what they do best, domain name registrar. If you want hosting go to a hosting site! As these are specialized in the product/service you need!

I think that it's good for small projects. But if you're planning on creating a big project or website then it's best to just use another service.

I've used citymax.com which is somewhat similar to godaddy's services. It's okay and easy to use, but you grow out of it. Not a bad place to start tho.

I agree with the people above me. Godaddy isn't all that great. I used them in the beginning and now I'm looking around for a better one. Preferably cheap.
