Default .geo

This domain extension will apply to Internet resources that deal with geographical locations. I think it’s catchy! It was proposed in 2000, but hasn’t picked up any ground lately.

Default .kids

This domain was suggested to cut down on the amount of kiddie porn out there. It would be set aside for child-friendly sites. It was proposed in 2000, but is still unavailable.

Default .mail

It was proposed in 2004 and if it could do what the public hopes it will do, I will be forever grateful. It is supposed to reduce the spam problem.

I HATE spam. I still don’t understand how spammers can send emails dating 2038. That is so annoying.

I think out of all the proposed sites, the .kids proposal would be one of the most beneficial , but it would take a world of policing to make sure this stays legit. Today, I think a huge problem would be with hackers. Don’t you think?

I think the term 'hacker' has been misused or misunderstood by some people in the industry. When it is mentioned it sends a message of negative impression to the neophyte where in fact it is actually a person who has a very specialized knowledge in his field of endeavor who can do things beyond what is normal to a regular person. Only when this was used in an illegal manner that the term 'hacker' obtained a very lasting negative impression to many people.

I see what you mean and I admire the knowledge that "hackers" possess. When posting, it is the first name that came into my head. I really wanted to say something like 'perverts' or anyone who would infiltrate a site just to take advantage of kids.
