I need to ask what are link exchanges ?
i have heard that they are very inportant in Page ranking in google and on some other SE's .
How these work.

Link exchange is rather pretty simple. It is a process of exchanging links with some other websites. Their links are place on your site which is usually on a link page and your link is also placed on theirs.

But this way your user can jump over there through a single link and click !

Is not a bad idea to loose your user ?
