Default Web Host provided a poor service

I can't really do anything about this now as I have since moved hosts and it was a while ago, but I would still like to know your opinions.

My pervious host was utterly disgrace full they were great for the first few months then they started to show there true colors.

About 6 months into my contract they started messing with the Plesk panel and screwing up the layout etc. They also removed the option to be able to edit .tpl files online ( this is one of the reasons i signed with them, because of the option to do this). To be able to edit .tpl files was crucial for the running of my site, they were not helpful at all and they had no interest in reinstating it. So I was unhappy with the service because they had potentially removed something which I required. I moved hosts should they of given my money for the remaining of the contract or given me my money back 100% just as a good will gesture?

Hi Jade

If they'd given your money back, I think that would have been a goodwill gesture from a bad company, which probably wouldn't happen.

Sorry to hear about your problems - I think in a similar situation, I would have just severed ties with the company, researched a new one and moved on.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience. I would have requested a refund - most companies will not give them without being asked. If they are a bad company, they may not, but I might pursue through the BBB (not that they have much in the way of teeth).
