The only concern I have about buying from an individual is ensuring that the the domain name you pay for comes without strings. You need to go with a reputable seller who has a history of selling and references to offer so you know you are not being taken. The advantage of going with a well known company or a company that does this day in and day out is that you have some recourse through customer service and legal channels if you are not happy with the outcome.
