Where can one find people to exchange links with?
I dont want to email competitors, though they are really the only ones in the same industry as me.
How can i get some other on topic back links?

text-link-ads.com is a good one that I have used in the past.
There are a lot of people there trading and selling text links, you can get some high PR backlinks at good prices.

Also email similar sites, not competitors so to say but people who have sites who talk about anything to do with your topic.
So if you sell digital cameras, try to get links from a site that reviews cameras.
