Is it a good idea to use a CMS for a website?
Im talking something like Drupal or Mambo.

Any ideas?

Yes they are great IF you know how to use them.
Most arent simple though. It takes time to customize and modify it and add skins, mods etc.

But well worth it once its running.

Drupal is good.
Another good one is PHPnuke
There are so many open source CMS's out there, you just gotta find the one that fits your needs.
